Analyse reactions, shear forces and bending moments in your browser.

Build idealised simply supported, cantilever or continuous beam models with defined supports, point loads, moments and distributed loads. The solver uses the matrix stiffness method and produces reviewable engineering results.

Engineering notes

Assumptions and limitations

Use this module as an engineering calculation aid. Confirm all project-specific assumptions before relying on results.

Units

Beam length and support/load positions are entered in metres. Point loads are entered in kN. Moment results are reported in kNm.

Sign convention

Vertical point loads are treated according to the tool input convention. Review the generated reactions, shear diagram, and moment diagram before use.

Model assumptions

The module is intended for idealised beam models with defined supports and applied loads. It does not replace project-specific modelling judgement.

Solver limitations

Check boundary conditions, support stability, load locations, and span definition. Unstable or unrealistic models may produce unusable results.

Verification

Compare important results with hand checks, independent software, or governing project methods before design or fabrication decisions.

Reports

PDF reports document entered data and calculated outputs. Add project assumptions and engineering review notes where required.
